The Healthcare Committee of Chicago Sister Cities will partner with the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Research Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital to once again bring one physician from each of the 28 sister cities to Chicago (Milan is one of them) to attend the 13th Annual Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Symposium on September 15-18, 2011.
The Symposium is a professional educational event highlighting the most recent clinical and scientific advances in breast cancer research. Physicians from the 28 sister cities will be able to network with their peers and learn how breast cancer treatment options are developed and implemented in the U.S. The hope is that the 28 physicians return to their cities and share this information with their colleagues and local associations and hospitals.
Physicians interested in applying can click on the following link for the travel grant application and additional information: http://www.lynnsagebreastcancer.org/sister_cities.htm. The application deadline is July 4, 2011.The Lurie Cancer Center will cover all of the symposium registration fees and most of the travel expenses; including round-trip airfare and hotel (Fairmont Chicago) for up to 5 nights. |
