Ottavio Arancio is a cellular neurobiologist who has contributed to the characterization of the mechanisms of learning in both normal conditions and during neurodegenerative diseases. Dr Arancio received his Ph.D and M.D. from the University of Pisa (Italy) and spent his residency period at the University of Verona. Dr. Arancio held Faculty appointments at Columbia University, NYU School of Medicine and at SUNY HSCB and currently is Associate Professor, Pathology & Cell Biology at the Department of Neuroscience of Columbia University. In 2011 he founded Citta Pharmaceuticals, a biotech company for development of small molecules against Alzheimer’s Disease. |
