Order Sons of Italy, the 98 years old organization of Canadians of Italian heritage, is promoting the 27th Annual Sons of Italy Gala Dinner in support of the Canada Italy Tissue Engineering Laboratory (CITEL).

The establishment of CITEL will be a unique collaboration between the University of Roma Tor Vergata in Rome, Italy, and St-Boniface Hospital, with the creation of a shared laboratory at St-Boniface Hospital Research.

CITEL, which will be located in the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences at St-Boniface Hospital Research, will also promote the exchange of faculty members, researchers and students between Italy and Canada to allow Italian scientists to share their specific engineering knowledge developed by Dr. Paolo Di Nardo’s lab from University of Roma Tor Vergata.

The event will take place in Winnipeg, MB, Canada, on March 16th 2013 at the Winnipeg Convention Center.
