What is ARIO?

ARIO Image_croppedARIO is a Canadian Chapter of ISSNAF that seeks to promote cultural, professional, academic, and social interaction among Italian researchers, scholars, professionals, and entrepreneurs living in Ontario. Our members work within academic and professional institutions in fields such as the arts and humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, computer science and medicine. ARIO, as a Chapter of ISSNAF, aims at enabling its members to quickly disseminate information among their peers across North America while promoting their scholarly and professional activities. Here members will find the fastest path to connect and converse with their peers, share information, track new data and techniques, advance knowledge within their fields, or simply come into contact with people and expertise from their academic and professional community.

Meeting in Montreal and Toronto "Nutrition: Research, Innovation and Markets"

The Italian Embassy in Ottawa is sponsoring an event called "Nutrition: Research, Innovation and Markets" which will take place in Montreal and Toronto on the 8th and the 10th of October 2013. In the last years, international bilateral cooperation between Italy and Canada in scientific research and technology innovation became one of the priorities of Italy’s foreign policy, in order to ensure, through Italian know-how, the country’s competitive abilities and the development of advanced production industries. The goal of this meeting of experts is to highlight Italian areas of excellence in nutrition, food packaging, genomics, traceability, and the history of nutrition, as well as to increase awareness of the Italian scientific community, with a view to promoting innovation development at the international level and further enhancing bilateral cooperation between Italian and Canadian research centers and universities in a European context.
