Transfer of cholesteryl ester mass between lipoproteins

good cholesterol Researchers have found new evidence to explain how cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) mediates the transfer of cholesterol from "good" high density lipoproteins (HDLs) to "bad" low density lipoproteins (LDLs). An italian researcher, Giorgio Cavigiolio, took part to the research.

Pain Research Forum

A new vaccine as a potential treatment option for OXY abuse or addiction. The research published in The Journal of pharmacology and experimental therapeutics was selected by the Harvard Pain Research Forum. An ISSNAF member, Marco Pravetoni, is the article's first author.

Open PhD positions

cti flex_logo The Marie Curie Research Training Network FLiACT will start on the 1st of January 2012 and will run for four years, supported by the European Commission. This initiative will host 12 Ph.D. students. The FLiACT fellows will seek to elucidate how neural circuit computation directs stereotypical behaviours and how circuit-function relationships are genetically encoded.

Genes that direct nerves
