Reviewers Eligibility

• Reviewers must be PhD or MD of any nationality as long as they are NOT resident in Italy
• Reviewers may not have presented, directly or indirectly, any research proposal under this Call
• Reviewers must declare the do not to participate in any way to any project submitted for this Call

About the Review Process

• The review process is expected to open in March 2013 and close at the end of Summer 2013

• The Ministry offers a token honorarium of 50Eur per review after closing of the review process
• Reviews are capped to a maximum of 30 per reviewer
• Each grant proposal is only a few pages long and the 2-year budget research is outlined in broad strokes, focusing on its significance and innovation, rather than on its detailed explanation. Reviewers are asked to provide scores and a synthetic comment, using a light template similar to the one introduced in the NIH review system in 2009
