About BAC
The Bay Area Chapter is the ISSNAF network in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, including the San Francisco peninsula, Davis, Merced, and Santa Cruz.
Founded in 2017, it currently includes over 250 researchers, scholars and technologists who work in more than 20 universities and research centers across the greater San Francisco Bay Area in all disciplines and at all career levels.

Faculty member in the History of Art Department and the Ancient History and Mediterranean Archaeology Program at UC Berkeley. Founder of the Mario Del Chiaro Center for Ancient Italian Studies and elected member of the Instituto di Studi Etruschi ed Italici in Florence.

CLAUDIO PELLEGRINI
Member of the National Academy of Sciences and a Distinguished Professor of Physics, Emeritus, at UCLA, currently working at SLAC. Mostly known for pioneering work on X-ray free electron lasers and collective effects in relativistic particle beams.

Professor in the Economics Department at Stanford University and the “Ralph Landau” Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. Also affiliated with NBER, CEPR, IZA, and a Fellow of the Econometric Society.
