Paola Sapienza is an economist and the Donald C. Clark/HSBC Chair in Consumer Finance, Professor at the Kellogg School of Management, a faculty research fellow in the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a research affiliate of the Center for Economic Policy Research. She is widely published in such journals as the American Economic Review, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, and Science. She has been featured in the Thompson Reuter/Clarivate list of most influential scientific minds in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018. She earned a PhD in Economics from Harvard University in 1998.
