Hubble's Legacy: "From Venice to the Edge of the Universe: Thirty Years of Discovery with the Hubble Space Telescope".
Refurbished in orbit five times, the Hubble Space Telescope is more advanced than ever as it celebrates 30 years of groundbreaking discoveries. From probing the solar system to exploring distant galaxies, dark matter, exoplanet atmospheres, and the universe’s expansion, the Hubble’s contributions span a vast array of astrophysical phenomena. Its synergy with ground and space observatories keeps it at the forefront of astronomical research, with its observing time in high demand. Beyond its scientific achievements, Hubble has profoundly impacted culture, society, and art over the past three decades. It has democratized astronomical research, bringing the wonders of the Universe into homes and inspiring countless students. Hubble, known as the "people’s telescope," has connected with our innermost curiosities and continues to spark the profound questions of humanity: Where do we come from? Are we alone? What is our place in the cosmos?
