About Idaho

Founded in 2025, the ISSNAF Idaho Chapter brings together Italian scientists, scholars, and professionals contributing to Idaho’s academic, research, and innovation communities. Through its initiatives the Chapter fosters collaboration, mentorship, and cultural exchange, while highlighting Italian contributions to the state’s universities, research centers, and industries.

DANIELE TONINA

Daniele Tonina is Co-Director of the Center for Ecohydraulics Research and Professor at the University of Idaho Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research focuses on ecohydraulics and hydrology. Daniele holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Idaho.

KATIA GUERRA

Katia Guerra is an assistant professor of information technology management at Boise State University. She received her Ph.D. in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas, G. Brint Ryan College of Business. Her research interests include information security, privacy, smart contracts, IoT devices, AI, and IT management. Before joining academia, Katia worked for ten years as a qualified lawyer in Milan, where she assisted the management of Italian and international companies on privacy and security law and the negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts. Katia earned a Master of Law from the University of Oxford (UK) and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Pisa (Italy).
