Dr. Emanuele Orrù is a neurointerventional radiologist at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (Burlington, MA), specializing in the diagnosis and endovascular treatment of cerebrovascular disorders and head and spine pain conditions. Trained in Padua, Italy, he completed fellowships at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Toronto. Internationally recognized for his work on flow diversion, CSF leak diagnosis and treatment, and radiation dose optimization, he founded one of the largest CSF leak referral centers in the Northeastern United States. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, serves as PI or site PI in multiple multicenter clinical trials, and is actively involved in professional societies, with a strong commitment to mentorship and international collaboration.

Dr. Elena Vendrame is a physician-scientist and Director of Clinical Development at Gilead Sciences, where she leads the clinical development of innovative therapies for HIV treatment and cure. Her work focuses on translating advances in immunology, virology, and translational science into clinical programs designed to improve the lives of people living with HIV. She currently serves within the Virology Clinical Development organization at Gilead Sciences.
Dr. Vendrame received her MD from the University of Padova and completed her training in Infectious Diseases at Stanford University. Throughout her career she has contributed to research spanning HIV pathogenesis, immune responses to chronic viral infection, and the development of novel therapeutic strategies. She has led and supported global clinical studies evaluating new approaches to HIV treatment and cure, collaborating closely with academic investigators, research networks, and community partners around the world.
An active member of the international scientific community, Dr. Vendrame has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is committed to fostering multidisciplinary collaboration between academia, industry, and healthcare institutions.
