Prof. Rita Colwell, from the University of Maryland, introduces Dr. Giulia Galli, the recipient of the ISSNAF Lifetime Achievement Award, during ISSNAF 2022 Annual Event.  Prof. Galli, a pioneer in the fields of quantum simulations and materials science, reflects on her remarkable journey as an Italian researcher who has achieved great success in the United States while maintaining strong ties to her homeland.  Prof. Galli shares her experiences of bridging cultures, the influence of her Italian upbringing, and her passion for scientific discovery. She also highlights the importance of education, collaboration, and the power of innovation in solving complex scientific challenges.
