Mobility Program
2025
What was the focus of your work or research during the mobility program?
The focus of my research during the mobility program was quantum optical metasurfaces, i.e., ultrathin subwavelength-structured arrays designed to generate entangled photon pairs, which are fundamental sources for quantum technologies and the quantum revolution.
How did this experience contribute to your academic and professional development?
The experience contributed to my academic and professional development both from a technical perspective, by learning new techniques and acquiring new knowledge through direct discussions with a leading expert in the field, and from a personal perspective, by gaining insight into the research environment and academic career path at one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
Did this experience influence your career plans?
The experience strengthened my will and desire to pursue an academic career, including opportunities abroad.
The collaboration with my host professor and his team is still ongoing, and further work together is planned.
