Acclaimed Italian novelist Erri De Luca will present his latest book Diavoli Custodi (Feltrinelli, 2017) co-written with architect and designer Alessandro Mendini. was the focus of 2017 edition of the ISSNAF annual event, which took place on the 7th and 8th of November at the Italian Embassy in Washington D.C.
Exponents from the world of science, business, and federal agencies of the United States exchanged views on the impact that artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, applied to productive processes, are having on science, on the academic world, and on our daily lives.
Pellegrini is a Distinguished Professor of Physics Emeritus at UCLA – University of California, Los Angeles. In 2015, President Barack Obama presented Pellegrini the Enrico Fermi Award, a one of the government’s oldest and most prestigious awards for scientific achievement.
In his speech he shared his experience spanning over six decades of scientific accomplishments from the Physics department at La Sapienza in Rome to the national laboratories of the Bay Area, as well as his views on the impact his field has had on society at large.
Galtieri headed a number of important projects at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory of the University of California, and contributed to important experiments at CERN, SLAC and Fermilab.
In her speech she shared her experience spanning over six decades of scientific accomplishments from the Physics department at La Sapienza in Rome to the national laboratories of the Bay Area, as well as her views on the impact her field has had on society at large.
