The 2025 ISSNAF Year in Review highlights a year of significant growth, strategic engagement, and impactful contributions to the scientific and academic collaboration between Italy and North America.

April 15th, Leonardo da Vinci’s birthday, marks the Giornata della Ricerca Italiana nel Mondo (Italian Research Day in the World), an annual global celebration by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. ISSNAF Chapters, in partnership with Italian consulates, cultural institutes, and scientific communities, organized events that highlighted innovation, collaboration, and the global impact of Italian science.

Professor Maria Gini from the University of Minnesota was recently honored with the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring.

The Italian Scientists and Scholars in North America Foundation (ISSNAF) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2007 under the patronage of the Italian Embassy to the United States. It was founded by 36 distinguished Italian scientists and academics, including four Nobel Prize laureates. Today, with a network exceeding 3,800 members, ISSNAF stands as the largest collective of Italian intellectuals
