ASI & CAIF provide scholarships to Italian students for space research in USA

Updated: Jun 10, 2024

The Italian Space Agency (ASI) and the Cultural Association of Italians at Fermilab (CAIF, an ISSNAF Chapter) have partnered to provide a scholarship program that offers four scholarships to Italian students to conduct space research at esteemed US institutions, covering expenses up to €14,000 per student.

The initiative aims to foster collaboration in space-related studies between Italy and the US and provides a unique opportunity for Italian students to engage in cutting-edge research at renowned institutions in USA such as the Goddard Space Flight Center, Stanford University, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

This collaboration builds upon a successful history of partnership, with over 15 Italian students benefiting from similar initiatives since 2015. Moving forward, the Memorandum of Understanding between ASI and CAIF outlines a framework for continued collaboration.

The application deadline is May 6th, 2024.
