Giorgio Natili Appointed ISSNAF Vice President

ISSNAF is pleased to announce the appointment of Giorgio Natili as its new Vice President, effective September 1, 2026, succeeding Enrica D'Ettorre in the role.

ISSNAF extends its heartfelt gratitude to Enrica D'Ettorre for her dedication and contributions to the Foundation during her tenure as Vice President.

Natili is Senior Director and Head of AI Engineering at Oracle, where he architects sovereign, enterprise-grade AI solutions for Oracle Cloud Support and leads an  engineering organization spanning Nashville, Seattle, EMEA, and South Asia. Born and raised in Rome, he began his career building technology for Italian institutions, including the Carabinieri and the Polizia di Stato, before moving to the United States to work at the frontier of technology and mobile innovation.

An engineering executive and ethicist with more than 25 years of experience, Natili has held senior leadership roles at Amazon (Kindle and Payments), Capital One, Mozilla Firefox, and Opaque Systems, where he built AI- and human-centric products used by tens of millions of people while embedding regulation, ethics, and data sovereignty into their design from the outset.

Natili is actively engaged in the global technology and policy ecosystem. He serves as an Invited Senior Advisor to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) on data and AI sovereignty, sits on the Board of Directors of MedVR, is a Technical Mentor/Advisor at MIT, and is a Part-time Lecturer and Chairman of the Advisory Panel at Tacoma Community College.

A prolific author and speaker, Natili has published four books on artificial intelligence and software development and delivered more than 100 tech talks worldwide, including at the World Bank, Seattle and Chicago AI Weeks, and Codemotion Italia Natili also contributed heavily to the organization of Confidential Computing Summit with a special focus on the content and agent. He is also the inventor of two granted U.S. patents in AI-driven data protection.
