On May 19, 2025, the Sapienza School for Advanced Studies (SSAS) welcomed academic leaders, researchers, and policy makers to the Italian Scientists and Scholars in North America Foundation (ISSNAF) conference “Costruire Ponti di Conoscenza”, an event dedicated to advancing international academic collaboration between Italy and North America. 

April 15th, Leonardo da Vinci’s birthday, marks the Giornata della Ricerca Italiana nel Mondo (Italian Research Day in the World), an annual global celebration by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. ISSNAF Chapters, in partnership with Italian consulates, cultural institutes, and scientific communities, organized events that highlighted innovation, collaboration, and the global impact of Italian science.

Prof. Andrea Alù, appointed Chair of the ISSNAF Scientific Council, continues his legacy of excellence in research and collaboration.

Professor Maria Gini from the University of Minnesota was recently honored with the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring.

Prof. Alessandro Sette Awarded Italy’s Highest Civilian Honor: Cavaliere dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana.
